Stressing about finals week? Take a break and celebrate Miami Art Week with us at Art Pop! Join us for an afternoon of chill vibes and live music. At the end of the night, we will give away tickets to select Miami Art week events to a few lucky guests.
2. SPECTRUM
Join the Frost Art Museum FIU and FIU club, Simple Pleasures, for SPECTRUM! Guests enjoyed a special tour of the exhibition "To Survive on This Shore by Jess T. Dugan and Vanessa Fabbre." Followed by a panel discussion exploring the complexities of gender expression and special performances by local drag queens. This event is free and open to the public.
3. Mixtape Mondays
Mixtape Mondays present ideas from Florida International University faculty across disciplines, using the museum’s collection as a focal point to talk about their research.
4. Diversifying the Narrative
Inspired by "House to House: Women, Politics, and Place" the Frost Art Museum FIU presented a virtual poetry program, Diversifying the Narrative: Black Womxn on Equality, Education, and Systemic Change. Looking at the past, present, and future of the Black experience via the lens of womxn and thinking about the effects of systemic oppression (race and gender), equity, education, change, and the socio-political journey of womxn in the United States.
